The Tier List is a list which ranks units on their importance, effect, and relevance in the current meta of the game. There are multiple team types in the game and therefore multiple tier lists.
Mono teams such as AGL have fallen out of use in the meta. Units will fall into 6 different tiers:. Units are ranked from a general standpoint. The "usefulness" of a unit may vary from player to player based on their collection of units.
Additionally, units are not just ranked by their damage output. Features like tanking and support for other cards are considered as well. When adding a unit that is in multiple lists as is true for many Category cardsbe sure to change the description of the character to one that reflects its role in that specific list.
Don't just copy a description about its original role in the other list s. The symbol underneath a unit's portrait means that the unit is one of the possible substitute leaders for that team. The symbol means that the unit is being evaluated based on its Extreme Z-Awakening and not its original form.

This Card is completely overkill. They are also the premium leader of a powerful category with a lot of extra Ki. They also have an extra Attack per turn, with extra Ki that making it really easy to start stacking Buffs. This gives them a place on several category Teams. Ever so slightly behind GokuVegeta features a similar Skillset that lets him tank from the start while building up his ATK over time.
The Cards here are very powerful in the right conditions but also have tougher restrictions to fulfill. This Gohan is very well-rounded. He gets extra Buffs just by default and ramps up in power during long stages. His DEF stack mechanic can trivialize even the toughest content. High stats, a lot of Ki, and premium Link Skills are what make the Saiyan Duo stand out at first, but they also feature one of the best transformations.
The GT Trio are surprisingly very powerful. This category has many good Teammates for these two. This old SSJ Trunks only gets stronger as time passes. His high Critical Hit Rate aged like fine wine and only gets better the more dupes you have. Trunks is also in a lot of categories. This Card works particularly well with other Beerus Cards that activate most of his Links. Gohan obliterates Dokkan Punch Machine while being a great damage dealer for any of his categories.
His DEF is pretty bad, though, but he makes up for it in raw Damage. Goku can Attack or Defend but has a hard time doing both at once. On paper, at his max potential gives him very high Damage output but in practice, he struggles to get the 18 Ki he needs to activate his ATK Buff. These kids have a unique transformation that happens only when they Super ATK.
Their sealing Super ATK can also save the Team in harder content, but they offer almost no Offense, which leaves a lot to be desired.
Bee Pan is a weird Card with her own unique gimmick: She can Heal a lot. His Passive Skill Buffs are unconditional for Super Teams and his stats are pretty good for a support.Performance as one of the main roles in Dokkan Battle Tank, Damage or Support while rewarding Cards that can perform well in more than one.
Being able to fit many strong Teams is a factor considered here, but being in a top Team doesn't necessarily mean a Card is strong. For a better list on the strongest Teams, check the Top Teams page. Cards in the UR Z tier are among the absolute strongest in the game and can consistently outperform even some of the strongest LRs in Dokkan, this tier has a very high bar of entry!
These Cards are among the strongest URs in the game and are usually the backbone of their Teams. Having a complete Skill Sets, a stellar performance and amazing versatility are some of the characteristics of this tier.
Trunks is the premium Leader of Future Saga and one of the premium Super Class leaders, making him a key Card in most players inventories, as he opens up a myriad of different teams and can be used as a sub leader for any of his own categories. Trunks would already be meta for only that, but he is also one of the strongest individual Cards in the game, with very high natural stats, a huge unconditional Buff, an easy transformation that allows him to infinitely stack ATK and DEF, and even a niche nuking version.
Trunks is a very complete all rounder and useful in any situation.
Super LR Tier List
Add that to his powerful stats, a double separately stacking passive Buff plus a separately stacking Super ATK Buff and another separately stacking Active Skill Buff, and SSB Kaioken Goku becomes one of the hardest hitting units in the game under the right circumstances. He also gets passive evasion to further help him in harder content. Gogetas transformation to SSB is simple, but incredibly strong, it boosts all of his passive effects, and allows him to double stack his Super ATK Buff.
He also gets a separate ATK Buff for each Rainbow Orb he gets, making his damage a lot higher in the rounds he gets lucky. From the get go, he gets a very strong separately stacking passive Buff, that stack with his naturally great stats. He also gets a fairly easy to fulfill transformation condition. To complete his kit, Goku gets a rage mode for one turn when he is at low health. In this mode he takes no Damage and dish out a lot, making it a very clutch mechanic in hard game modes.
Both the categories he leads - DB Saga and Youth - are deceptively powerful. Goku himself has massive stats and a very high Buff with good conditions: More HP will give you more ATK, and less will give you more DEF, and he also gets stronger every turn he shows up and gets a guaranteed critical strike. Goku works wonderfully in the teams he fits in, and can do a lot of Damage in a turn thanks to his active skill triggering together with his guaranteed critical, and also offers some utility with his Super ATK stun.
Trunks is among the best generic support for Super Class in Dokkan, with a single other Vegeta Family ally in his team he already counts as onehe can take and dish out a respectable amount of Damage, while giving a great Support Buff to his allies. Trunks can also act as a decent rainbow leader and works decently even in some Extreme line-ups. A stellar self sufficient damage dealer with high stats across the board, PHY SSB Goku marks a new meta for nukers by having a stacking Super ATK that allows him to have some viability after doing his nuke.
Transforming Vegeta gets a powerful passive that gets better as turns passes, once he reaches SSB, he gets a full board of orbs for an insane Damage turn.
Vegeta is a powerful Pure Saiyans leader, and can also act as a sub Super Class leader. His long list of categories and powerful passives makes him one of the more versatile choices in the list. Piccolo is the main leader of the Namekians and Worthy Rivals categories, and he has very high base stats and a great unconditional buff, on top of being a very resourceful Card capable of foreseeing enemies Super ATKs, which tremendously help clearing hard bosses.
His transformation requires a Namekian ally which are sometimes hard to find, but increases his DEF potential and greatly boosts his Damage via critical hits.Tapion is a great tank from the start of a battle.
Players can easily swap out a Card on the core Team to bring along Slug, as he will certainly be useful. Bardock is a decent Card that can hit hard and shares Link Skills with the majority of the Team. While not the best Card on this category, Bardock has his uses. What holds her back on Giant Form is her Link Skills not having the best synergy with a majority of her allies. Giant Form is an odd category, to say the least.
While this Team can certainly run numerous events, players might not always consider Giant Form as their top pick. Players can certainly run this Team on Super Battle Road. For longer events where DEF stacking is a priority, this Team may not be the best option. Try Now. Extreme Ultimate Power Cooler. Due to his transformation being an Active Skill transformation, it allows you to choose between maximizing support or brutal offense. As Pure Saiyan and Hybrid Saiyan enemies are extremely abundant, Cooler should have no problem transforming, and even without doing so he is capable of providing a ton of extra firepower to teammates.
Unparalleled Golden Ki Super Vegito

Fire of Vengeance Golden Frieza. He massively lowers the enemy's DEF upon Super Attacking like many of the other units here to keep the enemy vulnerable. But Golden Frieza's forte is his tanking. Catastrophic Rage Frieza Final Form.

Creation of a New History Sealas. He might not seem worth it, but he can reach insane levels of damage. Let the power of the Big Gete Star be known! Explosive Evolution Turles. If Turles was one of the first units you thought of when you saw Cooler's Leader Skill, congrats, because you and everyone else were spot-on. In addition, his medium stun chance rises to a high one.
Steely Hatred Metal Cooler.
Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle Tier List
Emperor's Devotion Frieza Full Power. Overwhelming Army Metal Cooler Army. The absolute best Fighters in the game. These Fighters have a team or multiple Teams built around them, and have full Team support which allows them to accentuate how powerful their toolkits are. They also own an Ability that exerts control over core game systems and forces Enemy Teams to play around a single Fighter. Her stats are among some of the best in the game after she Transforms. His Main Ability lock along with his second Main Ability has the potential to take out some Fighters in a single Combo if the stars align correctly for him.
His Damage is a little bit on the lower side, but luckily his durability and Support make up for it. These two are both way too effective to not share a spot in Z Tier. He and his Teams are simply among the very best. With massive Damage inflicted, Ki Restore on entry, Damage reduction, an Ultimate Moveand a Special Move that traps his opponent, he does it all and genuinely does not have any flaws at the present moment. SP Bardock RED takes a short while -- or a dead ally -- to get going, but once he does, not many can afford to stand in his way.
He excels at many aspects of combat and joins the best Team in the game in Regeneration. He has given new hope to a formally fading Tag in Fusion Warrior. His recent Zenkai Awakening makes him as durable as ever, and makes Regeneration back into the Team that wins PVP Matches via long, drawn out attrition.
If Zenkai 1 has not been achieved, he's still an excellent bench. His Cover is one of the more powerful effects in the game as it negates any Arts including Ultimate Moves, and has no substitution penalty. His Ultimate Move itself does massive Damage on top of it all. His Main Ability wiping Buffs has some added incentive now after how some recent releases are reliant on them. He also Buffs Frieza Force. Shallot is a Melee powerhouse when transformed, and comes along with Cover to give his Team some Defensive viability as well.
His Z-Ability is also crucial. He shines Offensively with ferocious Combo potential and can defend himself as well. His Main Ability is a borderline guaranteed kill, or at the very least keeps momentum going for his Team. He also reduces his card costs with every Strike or Blast Arts used. The focus seems to be focused entirely on Regeneration and Saiyan Teams for the time being. His Blast Attack Buffs are outstanding and he comes with an innate increased Card Draw speed that cannot be canceled.
A Purple that is exceptional late-game will keep them relevant for quite a while. He has an insanely oppressive Melee-focused toolkit along with a Special Move that restores his Health every time it lands.
They are improving, but still need work. His Special Move spam enables him to do a ton of Damage despite his low base Attack stats. Fighters that make up for their minuscule or moderately noticeable flaws by being good choices in solid Teams, they still have very strong above average toolkits but are not extremely over the top powerful.
They can still be the go-to Fighters to form a consistently strong Team around. Her Damage is a bit on the lower side until her Debuffs can stack up, but the rest of her toolkit is phenomenal. Even for a Support, her Damage is quite noticeable.
